Getting out of fish totally, i think i was about 7 yrs old when i got my 1st tank, 5 gal lol, im 51 yrs old now and i think im done with water changes. Been keeping fish since then. Still not sure if right decision. I truly have a love for these fish and want to see them get larger,but there going to a much larger tank and just happy about that.

I agree with the others maybe hold to the tank for a wbile just to make sure you dont get the itch. But yeah life happens and the fish take a back seat been through that a few times where i feel like im not into it.

How big is the tank and sump ? Pumps too ?

Maybe try different types of fish etc to rekindle the fire so to speak

Nah. I just lost the passion. I used do water changes every 2 weeks methodology, but the last year or so it went to once a month then every other month and when i finally realized it was getting close to 3 months, i was not being fair to the polys. Plus i have my desk near the tank and i was getting tired of getting hit with water every time the biggest endli went up for air lol.

Question not sure if i should post here, but how long will a well seeded freshwater sump with plenty of bio media still running about 10-13 yrs, last or start to go bad with a tank with no fish?
