Their care is pretty basic.

You can keep them on newsprint or butcher paper, or if you want something more naturalistic, coco fiber or bark chips will work. I don't know what types of wood shavings are available to you, but don't use pine or other conifers; they have oils that can cause respiratory irritation.

The snake will appreciate a hide. A hollow log, small box, flower pot, or even a piece of large-diameter pipe will work well.

What are temperatures in your home like? A heat source may not be necessary if your home is warm enough.

Mice, small rats, and chicks are good feeders. They will also eat lizards and small snakes. I know one fellow who fed his cal king goldfish; I'm not saying this is a good idea, just saying they aren't picky eaters.

*edit* Almost forgot- they are escape artists. Be sure your lid is secure! If you are keeping him in a glass tank, a screen lid with clamps is ideal.

Hi!! thanks for the info!! hmmm... i think i need to take out the pine shaving...:nilly: the normal temperature in my house would be 28-30 degree celsuis during the day and 27 degree celsuis by night, not sure how to convert this to Farenheit though.

ahaa... i've got lotsa geckos running around my house, this is going to be fun...

I don't think you will need an additional heat source. Don't panic about the pine shavings; they cause problems with long-term exposure but probably won't affect your snake in the short term.
