bro,there are variants which naturally max out at 18" and some near 30".
i think ashdavid or seichi had the big guys....will have to get them to post here.

Ashdavid I believe said he had an 18" mala and a couple 24"+ Lacerdae. Although I think his big mala (18") died if I remember correctly.

he did have some 2 feet malas.
possibly bigger.
and i remember seichi posting pics of huge malas.
