very nice fish. what are your plans for breeding? would like to see a Kamfa cross. I my self. would like to find a really nice super red just like yours
It's a beautiful fish!
Honestly though, there are some factors going on here that are helping the fish look unreal.
The first and main one is the lighting.
Dim tank, with only a purplish light (probably aqua-glo or power-glo) that spectrum of lighting really makes reds pop, which is why most fish stores have that dim purple glow to the fish section, makes all the fish 'pop' with color.
The second is whatever they're feeding it.
Notice the feces in the bottom corners of the picture. It is bright red as well.
Foods with lots of stuff in them to promote red color will come out the other end with the same red color to them.
Just some things to notice. I love this fish, I would love to have it, but I know I'd have to keep it in specific conditions to make it look as unreal as it does in the pics.
I could do the same thing with my FH, but I need to grow plants too

I am not too concerned about the pearls since when I breed her to my male I will get alot of pearl on the fry, my main thing is to get the deep rich red color on the fry.
