I was well aware of that. I was just putting that information out there for others. I believe yours maybe a P. socolofi but I am guessing Pseudotropheus elongatus
from your pictures they sure look it, but I may be wrong... those two are the ones you are talking about they may both be male.
Firstly, Melanochromis johannii males are blue with the females being an orange colour. The fish in the second pics look to me like they are Melanochromis joanjohnstonii rather than Pseudtropheus socolofi. Most definitely not an "elongatus".

Thank you..i seem to be having difficulty finding a picture of the M. joanjohnstoni ..but i will keep looking to see if it is the same.
I just found this picture of the melanochomis joanjohnstoni and i believe it is exactly as you say as i compare the pictures..what does everyone think.. so far yippee a match!!!Red Devil;727498; said:

M. cyanerhabdos: blue males, blue females (typically sold as 'electric blue johanni' or maingano). (both genders born blue-ish).
Male johanni's are similar in appearance to m. cyanerhabdos, so I'm not sure which melanochromis species the original post has in the first post of this thread.
