My Exporter sent me a lovely pic this morning.. He just recently starting having the ability to collect these nice plecos. He has no idea of the species, and is uncertain if they are ID'ed (I am sure they are..).

They come from the Napo river, he tells me.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance..

It does look like an L097, or an L282... however L097 is found in the Rio Tapajos, and L282 is thought to come from Venezuela. Could be a migrant, but unlikely. Perhaps they found a new location that these guys inhabit. really hard to tell which it is without seeing it in person.

LDA31 is the closest i could get based on that info, but the spots arent far away enough so i dont think it is, sorry

Man, there a lot that look similar tough to nail it down. Very nice fish though.

And another kind of pleco emerging to our planet wow!!! :D :D

nice picture you got sir!!! :D

I don't think it is a new pleco. It looks like an L97 or less likely an L282, that just migrated. It may simply be just another population of one of these also.
