pleco wafers?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
forgot to mention---my plecos never acquired a taste for either earthworm or shrimp pellets.

Also, does the order in which ingredients are listed denote the amount used/ percentage of composition? That doesn't make sense to me as any soda lists carbonated water as its last ingredient but it is the major component. Just food and drink for thought.

TGIF everyone!

I searched and came across this thread.
I am a health conscious person.

For my pets and myself I do my research on whats best to feed them for their needs and mine.

Fish like plecos should not be eating grains, grains are just filler and meant as a binding agent as well.

In general any non-whole grain, gluten, isolate, corn is a bad thing as an ingredient for us, and especially for our fish, cats or dogs.

I am always an ingredients freak.

I like to feed my plecos fresh veggies, prepped without seeds, and raw frozen shrimp from super market.

I have been also feeding Hikari Wafers for added vitamins and easy feeding, but don't like the grain content.

I am looking at Omega One veggie rounds as the better option.

Pure Spirulina is really healthy its a veggie and meat.

Any one know the best ingredient list for some Spirulina Wafer fish foods?

ditto . . . my fish love the Omega One veggie rounds, and I like the quality ingredients they have

New Life Spectrum Stable H20 wafers! Cant beat the formula and they dissolve slower than any wafers ive ever seen. Untouched will break apart n 24 hours but as soon as they hit the water in my tank they are devoured. A lil on the expensive side, but so are my plecs. they love em! Dont look for it at a petsmart or petco only lfs will usually have it.

I saw them at Petco today.

Wow you are actually endorsing a food product with that ingredients list!!!!! Cough Cough!!! Only one ingredient (and its listed 9th) is even marine/ sea/ aquatic in origin. I would encourage you to read up on fish nutrition and "meal" products as used in pet feeds.
