Two things. One, cucumber is nutritionally lacking, and is not a very good food for your pleco. Zucchini is a much better choice. Two, leaving the cucumber in the tank for 2 days, it is unlikely that the pleco is eating it, but rather that it has just broken down, and has fowled your water. Veggies should be in the tank for no more than 12 hours, after which they should be removed.steverothery;1961496;1961496 said:Cucumber - I feed my common it all the time. It sits untouched for a few days sometimes 'til it softens i guess then he eats the whole thing in a day. Also corchet - spelling wrong lol. Also they love half a potato cut open. Takes a week before they start on it and you nee a big water change after they've done. All this and plenty of light / water changes speeds it up, my plec is growing at a good rate now.
