thanks guys for all these advices and tips. so right now i know mostly identifying will be based on the supplier's info, this piece should be from guinea.

The only really dark Endli I've ever seen was one I received collected from Guinea, and since you mentioned Guinea from your supplier, I'd believe it. Mine stayed nearly black at all times, similar to your first and second pics. Anyhow, GL in further keeping track of where your fish are collected, I had a running list to keep track on my phone. I'm looking forward to some Guinea's + Nigeria's next week for myself.

Who did you get that fish from? It's absolutely gorgeous. I think the dark color should stay how it is though - but that's just me
