its a grade 1 red... a very good one at that.

looks to have a fan tail and not a diamond tail...

has a slight protruding lower jaw but that is easily neglectable unless it gets worse.

Take good care of this bugger.

yes it's an asian and i'm pretty sure it's super red ones... you have a great bos..

about the exact color morphs it's kind of hard since all sales people have different name for it but it's super red coz the body and face has red coloring.....golden red doesn't have it..

nice red with good color

the body shape is good but it does have PLJ (protruding lover jaw ) and drop eye in the right eye

but its a very nice aro as a gift

giving this fish away is like giving you a bently for nothing. im very suprised it was given away when it could easily be sold for good money, surly the owner new what it was worth?... somethings up here surely?

This is definitely a grade 1 asian red. Base color and body/fin shape would suggest blood red, but there are so many different grades and types out there it's really hard to keep up. Basically the farms can name them whatever they want for marketing purposes.

A fish like this would cost at least $1700CAD at 6 inches in length, so this guy would certainly be worth more. Few minor defects, but the coloration is great.
