LOL, I love these boards. I have been running powerheads for more than 10 years and people are telling me that I do not know what I am talking about. Well, if you want more power, put an airhose on it because when you buy a powerhead brand new, it comes with an airhose with an adjuster to adjust the power on a powerhead. If you leave it without an airhose, you will get less power.

A question I ask myself, do you own any powerheads? I run about 12 powerheads on 5 of my fish tanks. A airhose are on all of them because thats when you get the most power.

This is not intended as a flame, but I've been using three of these exact powerheads for the last 20 years and the adjuster you're talking about is to adjust the amount of air injected into the water stream, it has nothing to do with power. It may look that way because of the additional bubbles but it has nothing to do increasing water flow.

I often us these poweheads to boost the output of many canister filters and I've had luck filling them with silicone. Ive also sawed the plastic piece that sticks out 90% completely off and covered both holes with 5/8" tubing the we use for most canister filters.

But I really like the bacon idea!!! Lol

how about an air line tube? and then tie the end in a KNOT. its not rocket science ....

but i love how WWWWRONG RED_BELLY_PACU is, and how insistent he is on being wrong!

fish safe items you can put in a hole:
plastic
silicone
rock
sponge
like, this list is a list of things that you want to stuff in a hole? I'm kinda shocked this was bumped with a question like this. Should be common sense. PUT ANYTHING IN THERE.
