What do you figure for approx 18foot run of glass to hold back a depth of 48"??!?

Like 1.75"-2" thick?
Thicker probably?

Plexiglass installed at 48" deep is 1.5" thick at least by industry standards...

wow so that's a 72 square foot sheet of glass or acrylic. at 1.5" acrylic is 66$ a square foot. that's 4750$ for the acrylic alone. :eek::WHOA:

Glass migth be cheaper but still upwards of 3000$ how about you go for 2 8 foot sheets of glass at 2.5 feet tall. then you could get away with 5/8" glass for 12-15$ a square foot. which with each being 20 square feet would cost you 360-600$ depending on local glass costs.

sigh so many projects, so little money. lol

yeah that mock up looks perfect. should be quite a sight when finished.
