Don't use epsom salt in place of non-iodized salt. Epsom salts are made of magnesium sulfate. This chemical compound cases fish to increase their bowel activity and expel the contents. It can cure constapation.....

I googled that. Maybe u should have jut used aquarium salt/rock salt/ kosher salt.

Hope your arro recovers.

can my arowana be like this due to overdosing of epsom salt b/c i did think i over did it....... =(

Just do water change, and switch to using "Home Depot" salt ;) Go get a blue plastic 40-lb bag salt from Home Depot and you can use it for a while. Make sure don't get yellow or white plastic, only BLUE plastic bag. They used to have it in brown paper bag, too, but I doubt you can find any of them now. Good luck! Feel free to PM. :)

It's called "illegal fish in USA Diease".

You know, the problem is not from this site! The problem is from some "lookyloo!" :screwy: I'm not surprise that you don't understand.

I thought this site was dedicated to the enjoyment of fish keeping. I don't understand why there is so much critizism about other people or vendors. Is the so purpose of having this site is to help each other? Or have people have gotten so shallow that they have to pick on each other to prove a point?

if it dropsy, i dont dink the aro will make it.. cause my friend KOIS got dropsy and it died like 1 month or so laters.. it like an internal dieases.. GL with the aro.. it might make it if u just do WC and add aquarium salt

More fish have died by the over prescription of salt when there are actual pharm grade meds out there that are much more affective in treating diseases. Salt treatment is a crap shoot. If the disease gets out of control and you see no results. Often by the time you switch to a real med your fish is so weak and diseased its to late.

I like how one gets ripped when the truth is being told. I do agree with help others out and improving the hobby, but when someone post something that is known to be illegal, should it not be identified as being illegal?

I could careless someone wants to keep something illegally. I just want to point out that it is not very intelligent to do so, as this type of activity would encourage other's to do so.

In your own words... If you don't care, why bother to point out, unless it's bother you... :D Is it really that hard to click the "back" button on the top left corner of your screen? :grinno: Or you just want "to prove a point?"
