A common name is just a common name. Not every fish in the species falls under that exact criteria.
But fishbum was right, the flowerline is pearly. If I were you, Id stop belittling peoples opinions or nobody is going to want to help you when you have a real problem.

When I said it appears male, I was simply using the old "no black blotch in the dorsal fin" method.

I think its a fh, I think youll see that when its bigger but im guessing, just off of what ive seen in fish before, like everyone else here says

The fish is too small to tell. Grow it up and re-post 6 months down the road.
I see nothing that jumps out at me that says it's a flowerhorn. The Wetspot is a very credible store that I have been to in person many times. Though they have sold low grade flowerhorns that looked similar AS FLOWERHORNS.
I'd say if you bought it from the Wetspot as a trimac, treat it as such until it's full grown and can make a better, educated guess.
If you're not breeding the fish call it whatever you want.
