Why would you doubt the people at the Wetspot? I've had nothing but good transactions with them.

Lets say I come in your store and start questioning what you are doing and claim you are selling me a type fish ins't really the fish you claim it to be. You would probably be angry and not tell me what they really are.

I have only been in their once and I like the store. It was clean, well organized and the fish all looked healthy and reasonably priced. Plus most of the employees seem friendly and helpful. I am not mad at the store one bit. I paid $10 for a mystery fish and I like the fish. So regardless if its a trimac or flowerhorn I feel I have gotten my moneys worth. I will go in there next time and I ask about them tho. Its everyone saying its a flowerhorn thats making me doubt Wetspot.

You dont need to go in there w the same attitude as here btw. Also you dont need to go in there claiming it is not the same fish. Either you cant type what youre thinking well or...

Well it's all in how you approach it.

I'd just call and ask to talk to whoever does their ordering and explain that you'd like to figure out where the fish came from because it's easy to confuse a low grade flowerhorn with a trimac. Go in with a douche attitude and expect to get crap in return...

Chris,

With all due respect, the wet spot is the most reputable LFS in the Portland metro/southern WA area. The owner Steve is a cool guy but won't tank any attitude well. I know most of the folks over there and they are good knowledgable people, especially the manager. Hell he even has my old L240 plecos in his personal collection. If they sold it as a trimac, it is. If you feel they are mistaken, be as cool and collected as you can be when you inquire with them OK. Burning a relationship with the best LFS in town will only suck for you long term. They aren't making money hand over fist with their prices so keep that in mind when you go in. I don't know squat about CA's so I can't help with the fish, but I would defend the wet spot all day long. Outside of a few from Rapps, my entire collection has been aquired through them. GL :)
