poly and redtail catfish

I'd be more worried about the ARTC, they are brutal for eating fins and scales/skin off fish.

It will not work. Even the biggest bichirs such as the congi, pbb, ansorgii and endli will take many years to get up to 20"+ (Probabaly 2.5-3 years or more). The RTC will get to that size in no time, outgrow the bichirs and eat them whenever it feels like it.

Well this afternoon. I found my Asian RedTail devoured only the spine, head and rids are left. Looks like my 3 polys had my cat for their AM meal... I really got to get these guys into pellets. :nilly:

my mate has a rtc and he is not a very good fish keeper as he is lazy and does not maintain tank, im just wonderin does bad water guilty cause gill curl or can rtc just get it?

Wow, it sounds like he really got the perfect fish. RTCs are great for people who are lazy and don't maintain their tanks. They stay small too. NO. This honestly makes me kind of sick.
