Some will survive if they are hardy fish but most wont cause of the injury from the polys teeth, plus i heard polys bite are like pittbull, they lock on their prey.

Ill start to seperate them, i had alot of experience on endli eating smaller UJ, i can even upload a video of my 14" endli and in its mouth a 6" senegal.That's a real shame - I have been housing a 7' endli with a 2' senegalus for about a week now. They're getting along fine. I assume it's because I'm keeping them well fed. Interestingly enough, when I first introduced the senegalus into the tank, the endli gave it a few sniffs (it had many opportunities to gobble the senegalus up) but declined to chomp down. I'd like to think that polys wouldn't eat their own if given a choice/are well fed.
Of course other hobbyists here may have differing experiences
I'll probably do that this weekend. The little sen actually jumped over the partition into the bagarius yarelli's tank last night. I was devastated when I couldn't locate it. Turns out that the cheeky but crafty sen hid out in a clay pipe for (8+ hours I assume) to avoid the bagarius. This bagarius ate all my clown loaches by the way :/
So I'm thinking the sen can take care of itself - but your experienced advice is well noted

I don't have much experience identifying them but I believe it was a senegal
We have rehomed him as we have rays in all the tanks but I will check if I still have a picture somewhere
Well, not at all in the case of my Polli. He's a voracious motherfucker. See some months back i got four SAE for algae control, and they were both big and quick enough not to be eaten, although I ended up moving the two smaller ones to another tank. Then I got a reticulated algae eater, practically the same fish but gets almost twice as big. I figured with the two fully grown SAE and an even bigger Reticulatus, They'd be safe as the reticulated algae eater at least was much too big to be eaten. Didn't stop my Polli from constantly chasing and biting after them, usually going after the big one... It had literally no impact whatsoever how full he was, even when he was so full he could hardly move, he'd do his best to try and kill those poor fish. I suppose he was doing it for the ****s and giggles.
In the end I guess it comes down to personality. My Polli is clearly male, which might have something to do with it.
