I have a 60 gallon tank (120 long x 50 high x 40 wide)
And I would love to keep a poly or a bichir.

The current stock is:

5 x Celebes Rainbows
12 x cories
2 x peacock gobies
5 x zebra danios
1 x kuhli loach

I know I am a mini fish keeper
Any help atall?

I think it really depends on the poly you get. I have a poly senegalus at about 5.5" and he will not eat the feeder guppies I put in the tank. In your tank I think he will have a hard time getting the rainbows and danios. He/she might eat your kuhli loach and or cories. It really depends which poly you want to get.

Rainbows and danois might be fast but once lights are off and they will be gone the next day. They be lucky to survive the next day if the bichir is already full.

Oh Ok =]]Thanks...All the fish get over 5cm though...LOL

The smallest bichir (short body albino senegalus) can get up to 7". Bichirs are also capable of doing death rolls similar to crocodiles. They tear up chunk of meat.

Hmm What if I feed it directly?LOL

Even if you feed the bichir directly it still prefer live food and will still eat your fish. I feed live 6" weather loaches to my bichirs and my 10" albino senegalus would rip them apart no problem.

Quite a coincidence that this was posted today. My 4.5" (maybe 5?) sen just finished off the last panda cory in my tank, unfortunately dubbed "lucky" as he survived months longer than his 5 companions. (and yes, I knew the poly would end up eating the cories, and yes it's my negligence that I didn't rehome them before it happened.)

So no, those fish won't work out well with any poly.
