Poly tank and friends

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Had six and moved 3 to my uncles pond. Got three now. Keeping some space. Plus i might add an ornate pim so looking to shuffle up the mix. Might the other three as well.
Do the three fight alot or becomes territorial, cause from what ive been reading its either single or five or more.

It's still the secenario of one or a group. I have filament barbs in the tank. One is a male with long fins and nips at them. I'm sure theyd be busy at each other but the filament barbs annoy them constantly.

Nice, are the black wolves aggressive toward the bichirs?
I only have one black wolf. They don't get along with other hoplias very well let alone another black. But I have a gold wolf with it. They don't act aggressive towards the bichirs at all. The black actuallly acts like a guard dog when it comes to the bichirs. When I put anything close to them he flares at me and gets in front of them. He'll come from across the whole tank if need be. When I got him he was 8" a lot of my fish were half his size. Bichirs were the only thin he didn't snack on. He can eat the ornate easily and can even eat he weeksii and lap if he really wanted. But he's peaceful with them, bichirs are the only fish I've found him to not bother, no matter the size or species he leaves them alone. Tried catching the endli yawning but was to late, curu started flaring. IMG_2407.JPG

that's super neat about the black wolf watching over the bichirs. My convict cichlid does that with my ornate. They follow each other around and bump into each other all the time.
