He did grow really fast, but I only measured him today and I didnt it properly it can be a litle bigger than that, do people measure them from the head to the end of the tail?

Yes, head to the tip of the tail.

I could definitely upgrade my tank in 16 months. But I will think and research a little more.

You might consider a black spotted eel aka m. dayi they max at 24" and are still pretty cool(I've got one)

they are very bendy but mine still do stretch out and swim so while they don't require as much room as some 4' fish they do still need a little room to stretch

Hi guys,
To update this, the teug slowed the growth rate but now he is getting some growth in girth, and now he looks like a shy guy. Added 2 senegalus(1 albino), and added one FX6 fluval to better filtration and for future improvement of the tank.

And also got one eletric blue jack dempsey(2,5/3inch), 200km to reach home and aclimate him.
