Polypterides can mix with what other monsters?

Either way I'd probably stick with the stock you have. I've heard that having multiple ghost knives in an aquarium may cause them to fight so that might be a thing to watch. Also like I said earlier I would highly recommend separating the cory cat as it may be a choking hazard for if/when the polys decide to try and eat it. As far as the eels from what I've read they both seem to get to 20"+ so I would recommend an upgrade in the future.

From those dimensions it appears you have an about 12 gallon aquarium. I'm not sure of the exact size of your fish, but I would definitely looks towards an upgrade or possibly rehoming the polys, knifes, and eel.

the cory is too big for them to eat now

my poly is slightly larger than a palm length. yes I m looking for tanks that can blend into my flat

Ok if u have 2 knifes one will kill the other eventually ..... And I doubt it is a moray/snowflake eel .... But if it is .... I should ditch it or all the other fish in tank cause a moray eel sees anything as potential food when it bites it can retract its bottom jaw to tear chunks from its victim with its razor sharp teeth witch will wound any fish badly .... Also those 2 types if eels r brackish water fish .... They can live in freshwater but only for a period of time .... If they do not have brackish they will die ..... And the other fish u have can not survive in permanent brackish water ..... But I am gonna guess u prob have a peacock eel or tire track eel as they tend to never leave the sand ... I had both and got rid of both cause they were never seen lol and my personnel opinion is a 55 gal is minimum for a Senegal but like other said would go larger to keep them happy for life ..... And as far as test kits go they sell one at pet smart and petco that can check all those things for around 30$ but will last u a long time
And I will add that if u r newer to fiah keeping I wouldn't exactly go for monster fish right off because most need to be kept by experienced hands for example a Senegal is one thing but a large gar/pbass/aro/etc. is a whole new ball game

thx for the advise. why will the knife fish kill each other. so far I see them very happy together. yes I m not sure what eel I hv. I will google again. those fish shops always tell me chinese names. I think I will stay with these poly till I get a bigger tank.

could of been your Polypterus could have been burned by your heater or scratched by ur filter, what size tank cause if its too small ur poly will kill for territory.

Knife fish generally do not get along .... U may be lucky and got 2 the r totally peacefull.... But I wouldn't bet on it ... When they get bigger they will start fighting
