my delhezi must either be blind or dumb lol.
He's fat and huge... but he has a very hard time locating food, even if the pellet drops right infront of his nose lol
I have to wait till lights out asnd the other fish are asleep to drop a tab right infront of him and then it still takes him about 2 mins to sniff it out!
Hes a great fish though, but no way in hell could he catch a feeder! a pellet takes him long enough!
He "was" my Channa Ornatipinnis (ornate snakehead)... unfiortunatly he was new from burma... shipped in and diddnt eat... also i suspect my tank was too warm but there was no info online for me to know that at the time

I think its the two fluval FX5's moving too much water in the tank for him to sniff out where the scent is... if i cut the power to the filters hes much better.... but definately eyesights on him is useless... no way he could "catch" anything with his eyes / mouth
I was reading a scientific paper on polypterus diet in Lake Chad, and it said that Tilapia was a big part of the diet. Previously I fed most pellets, but I am now incorporating more fish into the diet. Has anyone been feeding a diet heavy in fish? If so, have you seen any change in growth or color?
I feed my bichirs almost exclusively tilapia and krill lately (Past two months). My endli has exploded as far as growth as my senegal and my Ornate have. Can you link up to the scientific paper? I cant load that page for some reason. Thanks for sharing this info Ewurm!
