Its common for senegal to have small spots. Perhaps a better picture, especially of the head?

As for pattern changes, IME an existing pattern will change as they grow, but they don't suddenly develop patterning.

wow thats pretty annoying...worst part is i asked the guy since i was buying the much smaller one could i get a discount (which was half). Can't imagine how the next guy will feel buying it at full price.

If they're selling sens for $10, go back and get a refund. If they refuse just tell them you'll report them for fraud (you can do that through the Better Business Bureau). If they're members of the local Chamber of Commerce or CFIB you can report it there too.
In the future, when taking pictures, try cleaning your glass first. Pics turn out much clearer without all the water spots in front of them.
