Aros are like cats and Bichirs are like dogs. Aro are swift and beautiful. Bichirs are clumsy, sweet, and dumb looking. I own both. I love both. But... if the jardini cant play nice with others....than i vote bichir. (5 months later...who cares? hahaha)

Well this is an old thread and i hate to bump it back up but oh well. Ill post my vote for bichir they are just awesome little guys i have 3 baby ones atm and some of the stuff they do is just hilarious to watch.

I'd rather get a big bichir than a jardini. Jars are nice but once they get a certain size will tear up the tank. But bichirs can live with most fish peacefully as long as they're not too small. Jars will fight with other fish just cuz they feel like it.

I've both. But if I needed to choose between one, it would be bichirs. =D
