Polypterus Ornate overeating

I haven't tried the tilapia yet as she is just starting to look more like she did before she decided to go on a feeding frenzy. I plan to try it in a day or 2. I also got Krill and Mysis shrimp (I think). I've had too much going on to remember without going and looking. I'm amazed I know my own name at this point. I'll post an update when I try it. But all in all she's still alive and thinning out.
Here's a pic from tonight. And yes she is sitting on the Delhezi's head. She's earned her name of Queen B.... I'll let everyone figured out the B.
Personally I feed my ornates every 2 to 3 days if they eat tilapia that day I wait 3 if pellet, or wafers wait 2. Never had an issue with this feeding schedule.
She is looking much better! Letting her live 'off the land' for awhile was a good idea. She should be ready for tilapia soon.

Ime noticed even though some polys will eat most of the food would be wasted, the feeding of 2 to 3 days also keeps my parameters stable.Sorry for the confusing post after feeding tilapia I feed day 3.

Yeah I go back and forth between 1 and 2 day breaks between feedings for the bigger fish.
