Polypterus with Oscar and FM?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What's the average size a CB Endli reach in aquariums usually? Also is it true they grow quick for around the first year, and then slow downs in terms of growth?

Any other opinions on whether a CB Endli would be comfortable in a tank with dimensions 48" L x 20" D x 24" H? Just want to get as much advice and opinions as possible before I make my decision on which Poly to get :)

I agree with everyone else...get the endli. Nice poly cb's have great patterns overall endli arent active fish that tank is fine.

Dont over feed and the growth will be very manageable

That's great thank you :)
Just one other question, would the Endli be ok with an Oscar and FM cichlid?

Fm should probably be on the larger side but i would worry more about the O and FM along with water quality. O can put out allot of waste that being said if you start them out small they should be ok. Hard to tell with cichlids some times you just have to try things and hope for the best

I'm planning on getting them as juveniles and letting them grow up together.

Also I will be using 2 large canister filters in terms of filtration.

Hey all.
I have just found that there is a place where I can get a Polypterus Delhezi from.

Would you recommend still going for the Polypterus Endlicheri or to go for the Polypterus Delhezi?

I'd say endli, especially if you're planning on growing it out with the Oscar, the endli will actually stand a chance of keeping up in growth. A cb del will take too long to grow bulky enough to not get munched on
