Polys and Plecos

Why possibly endanger a prize fish when simply not mixing them takes the possibilty away 100%,some people get away with it,for a while but 9 times out of 10 they end up having to be separated,again WHY risk it?

im saying it varies..but i wouldnt do it cause its usually ending up separated but i can see that discus are bad with plecos to if you didnt know..
 
I also have never had any bad experiences with plecos and poly's or plecos and discus.. I have 1 almost full grown royal and 2 6+" giboceps with my del and sen with no problems over 2 years. And an L114 and "vampire" pleco that dont suck blood nor slime coats from my discus.. I have never owned a common pleco
 
sheesh this thread keeps popping up haha, i had no intentions of keeping the 2 together was just curious if anybody had ever experiences with it working/not working
