I had just bough three polysterus, now I put them in a 40g breeder tank. Can any one tell me if Possible I can put them to the same tank with some large gold fish? Their size as follow:

1 abino senegalus 61/2"
1 senegalus senegalaus 6"
1 palmas polli 4"

How large are the goldfish?WHat kind of goldfish?

size around 5-6". I like to keep some fency gold fish such as lion head, etc.. But I afraid polysterus will try to kill them even if the gold fish are too big for them.

its highly possible they'll get eaten besides goldfish are usually cool water fish and bichirs are of course tropical you really shouldn't mixed the two-Anne

Don't do it just for the main point that bichirs are tropical water fish, and goldfish aren't.

but do gold fish also do well if I just keep the water temperture arond 78-82? Are they hardy fish also, thanks for the advice:)

POLYPTERUS!

The goldfish will have all their fins ripped to shreds and swimming on stubs after a day or so.... don't do it.

Goldfish tanks always look best with no bottom feeders IMHO

i dissagree i have a large gold fish hows been in with a senegal for a wihle and has his fins only one chunk missing from me when i move him

i put some goldfish in as feeders a while back and for some reason they left two of them alone, i gave them to my cousin and now they're both 6-7'' living in her little 10 gal
