Good points! There's just a few micropads in there, not much. There's barely any fish in there so I wasn't bothering too much.

I'll add some sponges to the skimmer and toss in some cycled bioballs tonight. Hopefully that'll help things.
 
Some skimmer manufactures make brush kits that give a little mech. help.
I have an extra set and extra debris net that get changed out weekly. They trap a lot of detritus for being rather coarse.
 
Any updates? Just found this thread, I love the water fall! Sorry about the RTC :(
 
I need to post some more photos. The pond has cleared up for the most part. I imagine it'll never be crystal clear, but you can see the bottom again.

I put my TSN in there now as well as my albino chocolate pleco. They both seem very happy. There's also the convicts and still a few gold fish in there, but they're seldom seen. The landscapers put in two red ear sliders and I picked up a white head turtle/map turtle ??? (not really sure what it is, I need to investigate further) from a person at work.

The Flathead catfish I got from the lake didn't pull through. I think it was because the guys had him in too small of a cooler with freezing cold water for too long.

I'm looking for some cheap grown koi on craigslist to toss in there too.
 
I shot a video of the pond the other night but haven't had time to edit it.

The water is crystal clear, I'm quite amazed. The fish are all doing great as well.

It is crystal clear! It looks awesome and the hyacinth's are taking over!

Just wait. We moved some hyacinth out of my bog filter last weekend. They were OVER 3 feet tall. I only cleared out about 1/10th of the bog, and now the pond is half covered in hyacinth... :eek:
