Any pics. of the filter guts?

Is the inlet on the bottom or come in over the top?

Yea, the arbor is for heat/shade....Im thinking im just going to get some water lettuce for the main pond so fishies can hid and have shade. the inlet is cut into the top on the side you cant see...Ill take some pics for you soon, I dont have everything in it yet, all bought, just not in. Before I flip the switch, ill take some for you though.

Still have to lay the flagstone around the edge. Putting a few small boulders on both side of the waterfall/bog, to help hide the pump hose. The tube on top of the filter is just extra tube I cut and forgot to remove. Inlet is on the side. Waiting on 1 ton 6" and 2 tons of smaller river rock which will go around the rest of the pond. The only place that will have rocks will be the stream and the bog area. Haved talked to alot of pond owners/expert installers and looked on a few websites and i will not be putting any rock in the main pond. 90% of the people/websites say its not a good idea at all, for quite a few reasons...

Why no gravel in the pond?

My pond has 1-3" of gravel on all flat surfaces. Never any problems....

Heres one link.

The pond people in my area, all said its one of the worst things you can do for your pond. Bactieria breeding ground, and most of it is no BB. Cleaning is made alot harder. Algae will grow all in the pond, so you dont need it for UV protrction either. I could go into detail about each of these, but I dont want to, google will have all of your answer though.

There is more, i remember reading, some for it, some against it. Im going with what guys in my area have that work great, and what the local pond experts say. What works for some, doesnt work for all right? lol.....

I dont want this sound offensive, if it does Muske, please say so. I really appriciate all your WoW and all the help you have given me thoughout this whole process....THank you!
