Pond heating?

Anybody use these things. I was thinking to buy 1 and just put it in my sump to heat my 720 gallon tank? They are really reasonable and will fit perfect in my sump. Am I missing something here?

I don't think that will work. It's a deicer so it only turns on when the temp gets near freezing.

You can use a bucket heater...

But they are not fully submersible and they do not have a thermostat control so they are always on. I'm not sure what inexpensive temp controllers are out there that you could use but I'm sure someone makes one.
