The intex metal framed pools are the best bang for your buck. Because of their flat sides I imagine that they would be easy enough to insulate. Target has the 1100gallon model (10 feet diameter, 30 inches tall) for $129 and the 1700g model (12feet diameter, 36 inches tall) is $229.
