I am wondering what kind of success people have had with using a pond liner for a large tank build and putting in a viewing window.
For those that have done this, did you have any problems? Did it ever leak? How did you do it? What did you use as a sealer? How long have you had it set up? Did you use glass or acrylic? Do you have pics?

Any problems? NOPE
How long setup? My 330 galon has been up and running since october 2009
Glass or acrylic? 3/4" 2'x4' twin windows acrylic
Sealer? 3M 5200 marine adhesive

How did I do it? Drilled h oles through plywood and window, cut out window, applied sealent, bolt to plywood, cut pondliner to window size.

Over tightening to acrylic will cause it to crack where the holes are. You do not want to make the bolts real tight. I hand tightened mine, then slightly make them a lil more tighter just to make sure the window didnt move in anyway when water changes were applied.

Glass for a pond liner instead of acrylic? sure

Only difference is acrylic you bolt, glass you need to make a frame to hold the glass, and have the frame hold it to the tank.

Kinda like a picture frame
