I realize that you arent really into Arowanas, but there is a few bucks to be made with Asian Aros. Have you ever thought about starting a small breeding project in some of your smaller concrete ponds??

Yeah.. never been much of an Arowana fan. Been to places (wouldn't call them farms) where they breed them and in terms of setup I guess very much doable but I don't know the first thing about them much less breeding them so I guess that's something best left to the pros.

Plus in Msia, there are places with acres of ponds just filled with Arowanas so I don't see how I could possibly compete with their volume, expertise, etc. Locally, everyone seems to place premiums on Arowanas with certificates etc which isn't the type of fish I could realistically breed.

WHAT this just makes me super jealous. I need to move to back to Asia, preferably PI though lol

I guess this is the wrong time to mention that I've bought more land across the river for another pond? But I'll use it for rescue fishes because so many outgrow their original tanks. :irked:

I'll get more pictures of the new area across the river if I get the chance to put the ~3ft Gar in the existing pond tomorrow or else I'll do it on Monday.

Then when I go up North for Christmas I'll take pics of other pond I haven't posted but have some plans for. Problem is timing - rainy season yet to end here and ground is way too soft. Even I sink and I'm not fat, I'm fluffy.
