Pool filter sand Questions

Play sand can cut up your fish that like to dig too...My own hand got pretty raw just trying to clean it. Pool filter sand is smooth.

tiller. try to have strong currents blowing across your sand to your filter intake...I never vacuum my sand and it is still pretty nice after one year of not touching anything.

Mine doesnt doo to bad? Idk why u told me that i didnt say anythong abput vacuuming? Lol confused

I have play sand in a couple of tanks and i honestly wouldnt advise using it...

1) takes FOREVER to get it clean enough to put in your tank
2) its very fine sand so it easily moves around in the tank from current
3) it can/will destroy impellers on your filters if not careful
4) it tends to make my fish stay lighter colors
5) its not much cheaper than buying pool filter sand
