pool filter sand

i heard theres different kind..like silica and quartz or something, im not too sure..im trying to get the 1 thats not sharp and wont scratch the bottom of the fish..i believe dat 1 was the quartz? not sure...if ne 1 know let me know..thnx in advanced

I always used the silica stuff. IDK just feel it before you buy it and get the one u like better.

is the silica 20 the right one? it seems like its almost just like regular playsand..but only barely noticably bigger..is dis the right 1?
