Pool filter sand

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks everyone! It sounds like it is a very light color. Is it white or like an light tan? I was hoping it was maybe a light brown or just brown colored.

I am helping my friend switch out his gravel for pool filter sand
told him to wash it thoroughly, but any other recommendations aside from that? I figure we will remove the HOB filter while we add the sand, place it in a bucket with the fish, then after it clears up we will re-add the fish and decorate and everything
sound good?
I'm going to take his extra sand as well, cause I want to set-up a few little side-projects for myself :P
my betta needs a cooler crib lol

I use a fine gravel.. not sand.. and def not PFS.. I used it once and lost 90% of my stock the next day... some peopel love it.. I won't touch it.

Don't know how you lost your fish other then not cleaning the pool filter sand or having a break out of ammonia or something with your tank. I have it in three tanks and it's been in there for almost a year and never had a problem with it and I know a lot of people that use it and have not lost a single fish it's good sand to use easy to clean the tank and looks good too
