pool filter sand?

silaca wat is that i have pool filter sand too but can it hurt other fish??? but alot of people told me that regular motoros can be fine with pool filter sand is that true?

I had pool sand in my tank before I put my ray in it, he's now been in there since about march with no problems at all.
