Crazy...I can't imagine having some group dictate to me what I can and can't do or have on my property that they don't help me pay for.

I agree. I would put out a politics type sign on my lawn that reads, "Suck it HOA".

Too bad that is another violation.
I got yelled at by the president in the HOA that my grass was too long and didn't match the length of the other because it was half an inch too long. I asked if it was too long why is it uniform with my neighbors. My dad gave him a rather nasty phone call to settle it with him and not a 14 year old.
He will keep timers on the trailers and boats in his house to enforce the maximum of 48 hours parked before being removed.
He also told me I was in the wrong Boy Scout troop and that I needed to leave my friends to go to his troop to which me and my dad politely declined.
