Poor Man's Arowana

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think pink tail chalceus resembles mini arowana in several respects. It’s an exclusive surface dweller. It has large silvery scales. It’s long body max out at 10”. The one dissimilarity is that chalceus does not move like arowana but stays motionless like cichlid if kept solo. I don’t think you can find fish that move as eloquently as arowana except another species of arowana.

Another mention for the golden wonder killifish, they behave and swim like aros, and look like them too.
The only downside is that they are very predatory and limit your stocking a lot.
