Yes this are animals that deserve a great deal of respect. The ideal is to keep them in a zoo like setup with both indoor and outdoor areas

pluc BCR used to breed all thier cats alot.....
anyway, proteus, i need 2 years of caring for a serval. i could work/volly at that rescue but i need the care of the serval directly. no other species would work.

coura, would a sulcatta and a serval really make a good pair or r u joking? dont tempt me! my wife wants a sulcatta so that would work ;)

oddly enough, i read that while i need a permit to care for a big cat(and it has to be in an enclosure with it locked at all times, of course i would follow that:ROFL:)
i do not need a permit to own a non-human primate. :nilly: . not sure if thats true but....
I douth a serval could harm a really big sulcata however they are to be kept apart. If you want something that can be trully family pet a sulcata is much better then a serval. Also have you considered a savannah?

yeah, but i already got 2 cats. lol
i want a big boy. from my research they actually say out of all the big cats servals make the best pets. Problem is they tend to bond to one person over all others. so while they are trusting/play with of most, it would hang out with whoever they trust the most. it would be ok, but im sure that would be my wife cause when i work im gone for 24 hours when i work
i still cant find a place that has them though so :(

You can keep one if you make a zoo like setup wich also has the advantage of making your pet independent of you
