How could you possibly come up with "3500 watts of draw"?

2500w just heating the first tank...

The "via Aqua 750" is a cannister filter, probably has a power consumption of 25 to 35 watts. The 1000 watts of heating is likely not on very much, though both coming on at the same time could cause a problem, if there is a problem.

I said I was guessing. I'm not popping any breakers... ALWAYS over-estimate your current draw. Small wiring sux up voltage, which causes amperage to rise. A 35w motor could be pulling much more than you think. There are way too many variables to dive into here, but a good multi-meter (with an amp clamp) could help a lot in finding the problem. The issue could be as easy as old breakers, or as difficult as a capacitance/resistance issue with the in-wall wiring. Get a meter, check your house, and let us know what comes out. Easy way #1: Grab your cord near the wall. It should be warm to the touch, but NOT hot, or too hot to hold. If it's too hot, try a larger gauge cord & see if that helps.

Ya right you guessed on the lights and failed to research the filters.

Please explain WTF you mean by small wiring sux up voltage:screwy: You seem to have some understanding of electricity, but not enough understanding to be giving any advise IMO. BTW I don't have a "warm" cord in the house as no one should:duh:

Woops, read that as a heater.

im a electrician and for a easy solution have someone ran a dedicated home run to one spot so u can split the load up

very good advice....just make sure that if u do replace breakers, use the same amp breaker, if u go bigger u can cause some serious damage, even start electrical fire... if u have access or able to rewire with thicker wire maybe 12 gauge can run 20 amp breakers...double check with pro.....breakers usually trip at 80 percent of load capacity for safety... check and see if anyone agrees with me i might be wrong... good luck bro....:chillpill:

thanks guys i probably should have put ? at end of (popping breakers title)
lots of great advice i have 14 gauge wire feeding 15 amp breakers (max safe amperage) house built in 92 and breaker replaced last week. i am going to use electrician or maybe friend with more knowledge
