I think if you raised this question in the ray forum you'd find that most people would say that a 375g 8x3 footprint would be absolutely fine for motoros for many, many years. That's not to say that there aren't some fish out there that will eventually outgrow it, but you'll find a lot of people who have been keeping these fish for a long time in smaller setups than that.
