Possible Silver Dollar Eggs

not really sure where i'm supposed to be looking :confused: are the eggs on the leaf?

If they are their definately not silver dollar eggs, as someone said above SD's scatter eggs everywhere.

I can sex your silver dollars if you like...
 
Sure tell me if these pics are good enough may not have reached sexually maturity. About a year and half old.Will take more if needed.

how do you sex dollars?
 
Females anal fin is straight, males have a "bump" at the bottom of the anal fin.

The males will colour up more than the females, red and black on their body. their tail will also become black on the edge.

here you go mate, a quick dodgy edit in paint and i can show you what i mean...

Top one is female and i've made the bottom one look male, kind of haha

Note- the bulge on the anal fin isn't red like in the picture, i did it like that to highlight the difference

when their breeding the males will start to chase the females and when they spawn the male swims beside the female, wraps his anal fin under hers and she will release 5-10 eggs, this can go on for hours sometimes all day. females can produce up to 2000 eggs :eek:
 
My smaller silver dollar shows all of those except the bump at the anal fin does that mean its an male. The dots on the body disappear and reappear very day.

what size are they? i'd say its female, my females colour up red and black as well, just not as much as the males.
 
about 5" or so.

At 5" their able to be sexed, so yeh i'd say you have 2 females.

Not sure at what size or age females become sexually mature, as all of mine have been 7"-8" when i purchased them.

My males are definately sexually mature at 5".

If your interested in spawning them, just follow my diagram above and buy a male.
