It would be too argumentative.. people would rush to be the first one to answer a question just for the brownie points.. Not that it's a horrible thing but I think it would lead to infighting, many times there's not only 1 correct answer, and it'd be hell for staff to track every problem that gets solved/good post and then assign a point for each on such a large scale. If I see any post that doesn't get answered it's usually because it's really unanswerable(question that has no real correct answer you can back with evidence), it's on a species that hasn't been kept hardly at all in the hobby, or the OP didn't provide enough info for the question.
We should all be excited to be a part of a place where so many people want to spend their time. Whether they spend it giving feedback to members looking for it or creating scientifically correct posts it all leads to the success. Couldn't have a great forum without both kinds of members.
