post count shows participation, which is important in my book.
post count unfortunatly can be mistaken for knowledge.
20,000 posts doesn't mean they are filled with informational posts, alot of "nice fish" posts in the photo lounge are a waste.
If any posts should be deleted, it should be photo lounge.
The Lounge posts should be shown as many have a great deal of wisdom in the posters opinions and knowledge of the non fish world.

If the titles under the usernames disappeared, along with the post counts, everyone would be on equal footing. And, the way to become known would be by posting articles about fish. Many many articles. Just imagine what a sight/site that would be.
Everybody is on equal footing unless you think of yourself as egocentric. Which is a Psychotic disorder like schizophrenia that can allow delusions of reality.
I like the concept of equal footing. Should be done at the beginning of each year followed by some contest based on the # of posts per month, week, day, year, and thread started
