watching ur fish nail a feeder is deffinetly worth the effort of breeding fish for your monsters i got a 10 gallon for guppies, 30 for breeding cons and a 10 for con fry and looking to upgrade soon

i've heard of ppl growing fry in green water ponds outside. i don't have a pond and it's like 30 degrees here so i can't try it lol

Working on my own Convict breeding factory, so far this is whats happening:

5x = 10gallon tanks for each pair of Convicts
1x = 60gallon tank for the juvi's

running sponge filters on all of them with 10% w/c every couple days. Temp of tanks is 78-82. With ceramic pots in each breeding tank.

The breeding convicts are all good size 3-5in ea. Not their first time breeding so should expect about 200+/- fry from each going to let the parents care for them for the first week and half then dump into the 60gallon and hold them there and feed them to my cichla's.

Building a breeding stand for them all to house them in one place instead of on the ground.

Will try to get some pics.

I wish you luck, but it sounds to me like your gonna have some serious problems getting a pair of convicts to get along in a 10g.

It works just fine. I've got six pairs that share 3 20L and they all do great!! That's 10g per pair.

a little jar with a airline full of pest snails for my pufers i started off with like 20 snails n now i have about 50.. there was a small plant dnt no the name.. but it was realy dead. so i need to put a new 1 in there.... the 2nd pic is the eggs which are almost bigger than the biggest snail in there. i want to start a ghost shrimp breeding project for my oscars n malawis n puffers.. they all appreicate it when i buy them a bunch
