There is something that eats coraline...but for the last two days now I cant remember what it is...I will ask thisissimple...I know that he has a few in his tank.

I have a couple of big corals that I killed and bleached...they actually make pretty cool decorations around the house. Plate coral is sitting in our bathroom. :D

Yup, pincushion urchins do a killer job on corraline, when they get bigger they will take strips of it off right down to the rock, which is a look I like, others may not.

There are some really great looking tanks here. The lookdown by the dock is amazing, as is the lobster tank. DGK - that's a good looking fowlr tank. Beware of the Maroons, They can be pretty nasty. Not all get this way, but when they get big, they can have fairly serious attitudes. There are a lot of options left for putting stuff in there, just stay away from more tangs and more clowns.

I have used purple up in the past, and it does a pretty good job of kick starting corraline growth. Always test your alk and Cal before doing so though. If you start to get nuisance growths, cut back on it.

ok thanks, after I clean th sand a few more times, do water change....possibly get a sump...I will then be prepared for adding life to the tank...when parameters are right.

thanks, Yah that maroon is evil. i put in another maroon i got for 10bucks the same size and next morning he was pretty beat up so i put him in the sump where i got some liverock. i just wanted to see how it turned out but once his fins are back itll be a gift for someone mmhmm. but anyways one question so i don't have to do a thread, i got a new light and sold my double bulb t-5 108wt and got a 4bulb t5, shipping takes for ever like almost 2weeks. im using a normal florescent bulb and wondering does coraline growth go away with no good lighting cause im noticing alot of loss in coraline.

yes, it can, but it will grow back. If you are worried about it go grab a small colorful chunk of LR from your LFS when you get your new lights and use it to "seed" the tank.

alright cool, you think i can do a snowflake eel with my marron and scopas with a coralbanded shrimp and softie corals including mushrooms and polyps and zoothyids or w.e

yup. cover your tank though, those babies are escape artists.

Ok, lets get back to the rockwork pics... I took this with my phone today. Notice the bleached out rocks on the right. I had to redo that rock work last week. The rest of the rockwork has been up about 2 months. Also, I like doing my corals and anemones from frags and clones so there still needs to be a lot of fill in. I'll post some better photos later.
