Nice fire eels.
Thank you!

The biggest is Hulk. The other big one is Thor and the smallest is Iron Man. Lol. I have had Hulk and Thor since they were 4” long. Now they are both over 2 ft. I’ve had Iron Man since about 8”. I had a bad ammonia scare with him, but I caught it in time and brought him back to good health. He is pushing 20” or so now. They are so personable and I have got them eating just about everything.

How long have you had them?

How long have you had them?
I’ve had the two bigger ones for almost three years. I’ve had the smaller one for almost two years. They would all probably be bigger, but I don’t power feed them at all. I only feed about every 3-4 days.

Are those two vulture cats?
They sure are. They are around 13-15” right now. I got them around 2-1/2 years ago when they were about 4-5”. They came from Jeff Rapps.

Just to round out the rest of the tank, here are pictures of the two peacock bass (one tem and one azul) and the endli bichir:

I’ve had the bass for less than a year. They were about 2-1/2” when I got them and there were three of them. However, I was growing them out in the same tank as the bichir and when they were about 4” and the bichir was 7” he ate one... The tem is near 10” now and the azul is around 6-7”.

I’ve had the bichir for about a year. When I got him he was about 2-1/2” long and super skinny. Now he is around 12” long.

About 4-5 inches. I love him (or her) a lot. I wish my peacock eel was still alive though
Sorry to hear about your peacock eel. Did it escape the tank?

I’ve found that spiny eels are a lot more personable than most other fish. That alone makes them a lot of fun to keep, IMO.
