Beautiful buff! I'd sell sell my soul to have those fish in my native waters! Top 3 favorite NA natives, and one I desperately need to get my hands on!
Have any access to small juveniles?![]()
turns out that blue pike is a subspecies of walleyes and not a pigment mutation. There are few morphology differences. For instance blue pike has larger eyes and they do not get very big unlike their cousin the walleye. Their maximum size is only 15-16" when fully grown. The blue pike can be only found in Lake Erie ( or at least one of the Great Lakes).
Blue pike is genetically different from the walleyes.
